What do I need?

A Home Assistant server you can reach from your phone: on your home network, through Home Assistant Cloud, or through your own remote access. Home Status reads your Home Assistant logbook and history. It has no data of its own.

How do I sign in?

Enter your Home Assistant address, then sign in with your Home Assistant username and password on your own server's login page. You can revoke the app's access at any time from your profile in Home Assistant, under Security.

Why "Needed heat" rather than "Heating on"?

Home Assistant can see a thermostat's target and the room temperature, but usually not the boiler or the valves. So Home Status shows when a room was below its target in heat mode, which is when it needed heat.

Why is a room or device missing?

Home Status groups things by the Area set in Home Assistant. Devices with no area appear under "No room". Check Settings → Areas, labels & zones in Home Assistant.
